Supporting Our Neighbors

OrkinServes is an employee volunteer program designed to help take care of our communities and fulfill our purpose of providing a safe place for everyone to live, work, and play. Each year, Orkin branches across the country set aside time specifically for giving back in their local areas. Since the program started, Orkin employees have donated hundreds of hours of volunteer service to residents and organizations in the U.S. We believe in people helping people and showing small acts of kindness for our customers and communities.

Helping Save Lives

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. The American Red Cross® works tirelessly every day to supply 40% of the nation’s blood supply, collecting roughly 13,000 blood donations to meet the needs of patients across the country. Each donation can save the lives of up to three people.

At Orkin, we believe Mosquitoes Don’t Deserve a Drop™, which is why we partner with the Red Cross to help save lives on two fronts. Since 2020, Orkin has donated $620,000 to the Red Cross in addition to encouraging the public to donate blood to the organization.

Our goal is two-fold: to help boost our country’s blood supply while protecting people against the public health threats of mosquitoes.

Education that Matters

Orkin’s longstanding partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has fostered multiple public health and educational initiatives involving pest-related health risks. Orkin and the CDC have collaborated to produce educational materials like the Hidden Home Threats checklist to help consumers prevent pest-related diseases in and around the home, as well as the Guide to Dangerous Pests brochure. We have also partnered on annual “Train the Trainers” broadcasts, where CDC specialists educate hundreds of Orkin pest control Pros across the country on pest-related diseases.
